The much anticipated RHI tariff changes were announced last week by DECC and come into effect from April 2014. The changes affect biomass boilers, ground source heat pumps, air to water heat pumps, solar thermal, biogas, biomethane injection, CHP, deep geothermal.
The new tariffs are listed below for each of the RHI qualifying technologies installed by TGE Group:
Solar Thermal
1 tier only: 10p
Biomass Boilers
Small <200kW
Tier 1 up to 1,314kWh: 8.8p
Tier 2 over 1,341kWh: 2.3p
Medium 200kW – 1MW
Tier 1 up to1,314kWh: 5.1p
Tier 2 over 1,341kWh: 2.2p
Large 1MW+
1 Tier only: 2.0p
GSHPs
Tier 1 up to1,314kWh: 8.7p
Tier 2 over 1,341kWh: 2.6p
AWHPs
1 tier only: 2.5p
