Renewable and low energy specialists, The Green Electrician Group has been recognised this month for its high quality business standards after being awarded the OHSAS 18001, an internationally recognised standard for occupational health and safety management systems.
This award runs alongside the company’s other management system standards including ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental), making it one of the few suppliers of renewable energy in the UK to hold all three business accreditations. OHSAS 18001 promotes a safe and healthy working environment by providing a systematic approach to identifying hazards and therefore reducing their risks. This in turn will help avoid accidents, reduce equipment damage and demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety, whilst improving performance.
“The OHSAS 18001 standard is very important to our company and staff, particularly with our extensive roof work and use of machinery for installing renewable energy systems,” comments Managing Director, Rupert Higgin. “We have worked hard to achieve these three internationally respected quality management system standards, which we believe are essential to improving customer satisfaction, staff motivation and overall performance within our fast growing industry sector. Essentially, customers can trust us to provide the highest quality, environmental and health and safety standards.”
